We had a great time at the Spring Classic hosted by the American Debate League at In-Tech Academy!
Advanced Division:
- Congrats to Jeanfelipe who won the 1st overall speaker award and received a perfect score in a round.
- Congrats to Archie who placed 13th place speaker.
- Jeanfe and Archie had a winning record going 2-1 at this tournament.
- Congrats to Natasha who got 11th who got a perfect score in round 2.
- Congrats to Leanna who placed 12th and also got a perfect score.
Novice Division:
Congrats to the team of Austin and Luiz (this is his first tournament) who got 2nd place team overall in their division. Austin got 8th place speaker and Luiz got 10th place.
SPECIAL SHOUT-OUT:
Kevin and Raveen who just recently moved up from the Junior Scholars class and are both in 5th grade and debated against 8th graders!!! They won 2 out of their 3 rounds today.
All of these kids went against some tough competition and they will be back April 1st at Uniondale High School to continue improving!
