Today was an exciting day! We competed at the American Debate League Fall Classic Tournament with over 700 debaters present! If today was your first tournament ever and you showed up and tried your best — we are proud of you! You should be proud too!
In Elementary School:
For all of our junior scholars this was their first ever tournament! Some of our teams were put into a higher division because there were so many teams competing today. However, they persevered! Special shoutout to Gary Wang who earned the highest from our junior scholars at 23rd place speaker.
In Middle School Beginner:
The team of Kaitlyn Lee, Emily Moon and Katherine Wan went undefeated and were 8th place team!
In Middle School Advanced:
The team of Natasha Chiu & Leanna Cai went undefeated and were 6th place team.
The team of Austin Guo & Luiz Takata had a winning record of 2-1. The team of Olivia Feng and Karen Wang also had a winning team. Special shoutout to Olivia! This was her first ever debate tournament.
For our teams who went 3-0 you will be receiving gold medals from the tournament administration when we come back to class on Saturday, January 6th.
