Cambridge

What a fun weekend! We are very proud of everyone who came out to Cambridge and debated at the Harvard national tournament. This year solidified Early Scholars presence and I hope we keep up this energy at the local tournament! This year the middle school division had over 200 teams which is twice as much as last year.

Congrats to Natasha and Leanna, the duo had a score of 4-1 in the preliminary rounds and they made it to the top 32 teams. We also had Luiz, Austin, Raveen and Anaya (who is only in 5th grade) get a winning record of 3-2. Olivia, Karen, Kevin, and Aidan did a great job as well. 🏆

We also had our High Schoolers Hillary and Methulia made it to octafinals in their division!

Zachary debated in VARSITY extemp and he is only a sophomore!!

Shoutout to our lab leader Sadie, who is a senior at Chapin and made it to Quarterfinals this Weekend. I am very grateful to you all!

Thank you to Hillary, Methulia, Zachary and Jeanfe who joined my Wednesday online class these last 2 weeks to give my kids a taste of GREAT competition and advice.

Thank you to the parents for their support and making sure our debaters were well fed and took breaks throughout the day! Parent support is very important in long events like this. Thank you to our judges Lauro, Christopher, and Krishanti as well!

I must also make sure Erin gets her shoutout 😁 She really makes sure these kids have support throughout the week and has done a lot behind the scenes to make these things happen!
