Today some of our middle school teams competed in the Lumos Debate February Invitational on the topic of banning single use plastics.
Austin Guo and Luiz Takata who debated today and went 4-0 and got 2nd place team in the GOLD division. Leanna Cai and Olivia Fang also went 4-0 and got 3rd place team in the GOLD division.
This week we also had some online scrimmages with the National Debate and Speech Association:
Congrats to Raveen Medage and Anaya Koswatta for winning their round in middle school! Congrats to Leanna Cai, Natasha Chiu, Olivia Fang, and Karen Wang for winning in the open high school division!
We hope this foreshadows how our teams come in strong next weekend at the Harvard National Tournament! 🏆
